Due to no confirmed reports of sighting of the #Hilaal, the United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA), determined that in South Africa, Rabi al Awwal 1445 will end with 30 days on Monday evening, 16 October 2023. It follows then that 1st Rabi al Thani 1445 corresponds to Tuesday, 17 October 2023.

 

The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Central Hilaal Committee acts on behalf of UUCSA in the coordination of the sighting of the moon. The next sighting of the moon for the determination of the start of Jumaadal Ulaa 1445 shall be after sunset on Tuesday 14 Nov 2023. At sunset in Johannesburg, the Hilâl will be 31 Hours 05 Minutes, in-sha-Allah.
