National and Provincial Elections 2024 | Register to Vote

You are the best nation evolved for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allâh… (Âl-‘Imrân, Âyah 110).

One of the most-emphasised aspects of governance is people-participation. Acceptability of any government, whether at local or national level, hinges on the level of its engagement with citizenry. The starting point of this engagement is through election of leaders who would serve in the interest of the public.

Electing political representatives through voting is not only a right but also a responsibility to ensure that the leadership and management of our country are vested in people who subscribe to principles of honesty, justice, and compassion.

It is our contribution as citizens of South Africa towards promoting good governance that roots out corruption, prioritizes service delivery and promotes socio-economic development. Voting is effectively an investment in our own future and an attempt preserve and promote the common good of our nation.

The War on Gaza is revealing many things. It has never been so clear that our country’s foreign policy has direct domestic implications. Islamophobia and other freedoms are coming under the ballot in the 2024 National and Provincial Elections.

The date of the 2024 National and Provincial Elections will be announced closer to the polls, next year. However, in order to participate in the elections, all eligible voters must be on the voters’ roll. You have the opportunity to make your say. Take the first step by registering to vote.

We urge members of the community to register for these important forthcoming elections this weekend, Sat 18 and Sun 19 November 2023, between 8am and 5pm.
