The 3rd Wave: A Community Appeal
Reports indicate that new Covid-19 cases are on the rise again. South Africa is in the midst of the third wave of infections of the coronavirus pandemic. The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa is therefore appealing to all members of the community to continue exercising caution by adhering to measures that will curtail the spread of the coronavirus.
We call upon the community to do its part, in order to mitigate the risks associated with Covid-19, without causing unnecessary tension and discord among ourselves, whether at home, in congregations, shopping centres or in the workplace.
As we have shown in the past, let us all come together with compassion and support each other in our communities with empathy, care and responsibility, as may be appropriate.
Let us continue to supplicate to the Almighty to take away the pandemic from our midst, heal the infected and affected among us, and ask Him to be the Comforter of the bereaved and distressed. Aameen.
